Climb into history at Clifford’s Tower, bask in the Gothic splendour of York Minster or discover the city’s long association with sweet treats at York’s Chocolate Story. Beyond the city centre get out and about with attractions including Castle Howard, the Yorkshire Air Museum or even a steam-hauled trip to the coastal town of Whitby on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. Who is this offer for?
York passes are available for struggling families who meet the following criteria:
1. The family must have at least one child under the age of 18 years
2. The family must be on a low income (£24,000 or under per household per year)
3. The family must not have been on holiday in the last year and be unlikely to be able to afford a holiday or a day out this year

You can make a request for up to 5 families.
How are York passes allocated?
York passes will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
Do you offer any help with transport costs?
Unfortunately, we do not have funds to help with travel costs associated with a day out using a York pass.
Referrers will be asked to gather feedback from families following their day out.
We are unable to provide replacements for lost or stolen passes.
