Alesha is an ambassador for the Family Holiday Association and proce

Today also marks the release of the video for the Christmas track which features Alesha and her band enjoying everything Lapland has to offer including feeding reindeer, riding snowmobiles, meeting Santa and having fun in the snow, reinforcing the message that at Christmas time, quality time with loved ones is what is most important. Filmed earlier this month, it includes appearances from some of the 40 struggling families who, with Thomson, we helped to have the day trip of a lifetime to the famous Arctic destination. The trip, which Alesha joined by surprising those on board the special flight, gave families who are facing some of the toughest challenges life can bring, the chance to take a break and spend quality time together in the build up to Christmas. Enjoying a magical day in Lapland, they experienced festive activities such as sledging and meeting Santa, creating unforgettable memories.

Alesha and childrenAlesha, said:“The Family Holiday Association is a charity that’s close to my heart and one I’m proud to support. I think it’s incredibly important all year round, but most of all at Christmas time, for people to know that they’re loved and get to spend quality time with their loved ones, seeing the families together in Lapland was definitely the highlight of the trip.

“People Need Love is all about what people hold dear – good times, memories, true friends and family and above all, love – a really strong message that the Family Holiday Association also upholds and so I’m happy I can help spread this message by releasing the single for such a good cause. . Filming the video in such a magical place is definitely something I’ll never forget.”
