Why run the London Marathon for the Family Holiday Association?

As a Family Holiday Association runner, you will receive support from us throughout the lead up to the event, as well as the following benefits:

  • a place in one of the world’s most famous sporting events
  • a personalised charity running top to wear on the day
  • fundraising tips and ideas
  • training and nutritional advice
  • an invitation for you, your family and close friends to join our post-race pasta party – this includes a free massage from one of our professional massage therapists (runners only!)

You will be raising money to help struggling families benefit from a much-needed break. For many, it will be the first time they have ever spent time away from home, seen the sea or played in the sand.

“If you want to run the London Marathon, you must do it for this charity. The Family Holiday Association were fantastic and made the experience unbelievable, not only for me but for my whole family. They couldn’t do enough for us all and allowed us to make memories to cherish forever”

Your own place in the 2022 ballot

If you have your own place in the 2022 event, we’d be delighted for you to join our team!

As an own place runner you will receive the same support in fundraising and training as our charity places, but you set your own sponsorship target.

Whilst we don’t set a minimum fundraising target for ballot place runners, we ask that you raise as much as possible.

Raising £1,000 means you will help 4 families to get a much-needed short break, or you’ll give 20 families the chance to have a day out of fun.

A target of £1,500 means that you’ll give 6 families the fantastic experience of time away from home, or you’ll help 30 families have a great day out.

We appreciate all your support and the funds that you raise  – email our team about fundraising for us today!
