New booking system
The Grants and Projects team has been working hard over the past year to develop a new online platform to manage how referrers apply for breaks and make bookings. Developed with IT company CSI Media, it launched in December and we are really pleased with it.
As with any IT project there have been a few gremlins along the way and it’s still not quite finished but it’s already seen massive efficiency savings in the way the team works.
Even better, referrers seem to like it too! We were worried that they might not understand a slightly different way of working and need lots of training but the system must be easy to understand as numbers of applications are 50% higher than this time last year and we haven’t had lots of phone calls from confused social workers.
The efficiency savings mean we’ll be able to work with even more partners donating accommodation, transport and attraction tickets so we can help more families.
