ChariTable bookings – Giving tastes good
New restaurant reservation platform launched that raises free donations for charity.
Restaurant go-ers can now make their next reservation through the ChariTable Bookings website or the iOS app, to raise money for charity. Users can choose from a growing list of over 4,500 restaurants across the UK, and for every diner in the party £1 will be donated by the restaurant, to a charity of the user’s choice. To select the Family Holiday Association as your charity of choice, visit the website today.
For every 100 people booking a table for 4 people once a week, a staggering £20,800 per year would be raised in funds for a charitable cause. Companies can complement their corporate social responsibility programmes and raise substantial funds for their nominated charity, by encouraging their employees and clients to make all restaurant reservations through ChariTable Bookings.
With the ability to see the restaurant’s sustainability credentials, guide price, type of cuisine, address with map, ratings, photographs, awards, and a description of the restaurant, this is an essential guide to dining out. For corporate and private restaurant bookings, philanthropy has become much easier.
Once ChariTable Bookings receives confirmation of the attended booking, the booker will receive 100 points = £0.50, in addition to their free charitable donation. When 4,000 points have been collected, these can be converted into £20 restaurant vouchers or the money can be given to a charity close to their heart.
Uniquely, ChariTable Bookings allows customers to call the restaurant directly when making reservations, as opposed to other platforms which only offer online bookings. The site also holds the user’s directory of favourite restaurants; from the little local Italian round the corner and the regular business/corporate lunch location, to the weekend gastro pub.
ChariTable Bookings is an initiative of The Global Charity Trust and a company with a social purpose. Set up by the Trustees Lord Fink and David Johnstone in 2011, The Global Charity Trust’s philanthropic mission is to promote a social conscience and has raised to date over £2,000,000 net to directly support hundreds of local and worldwide charity projects by raising much needed funds and awareness.
