Blue Badge Guides help to discover hidden London

Posted on

We were delighted to welcome a record number of teams to our ever popular  Treasure Trails recently, created in conjunction with our friends at the British Guild of Tourist Guides (Blue Badge Guides).

Blue Badge Logo 150x250pxThis year we decided to do things a little differently and held three different walks over three different evenings in July. All of the walks started at a central London location and teams were given clues and questions that had them heading up hidden alleyways, winding their way around picturesque parks and strolling through some awesome attractions!

The Treasure Trails were created and tested by the wonderful Blue Badge Guides, and were titled ‘Secrets of the Strand’, Love Actually?’ and ‘Centre Stage to Centre Page’.

All of the walks finished with a celebratory drink and prize-giving at a local pub in the city. Teams at our final Treasure Trail got to enjoy a complimentary drink to kick start their walk at ‘Bar by the River’ at More London, thanks to our friends at London Bridge City.

By joining us at this year’s Treasure Trail, each team will have helped us provide a day out for a struggling family. So a huge thank you to everybody who joined us!

“Wow! Certainly made our Tuesday more exciting! What a unique way to see some real hidden gems of London and support a fantastic cause at the same time. Can’t wait for next year.”

Make sure you stay tuned for details of next year’s Treasure Trails…
