Higgidy offer a helping hand
We are delighted to have teamed up with our friends at Higgidy and their Higgidy Helping Hand project to send goodie bags to families who have sadly missed out on a Family Holiday Association break this year.
Over the next week or so, the many families who we had to disappoint due to the impact of coronavirus will receive a Higgidy goodie bag providing some fantastic treats to perk up mealtimes and bring a touch of joy.
Alongside pies and quiches, Higgidy have recruited businesses local to the West Sussex base plus some friends at partner brands to provide added little extras – from bottles of apple juice and delicious condiments to family activity and baking packs.
They’ve also created a fantastic Book of Boredom Busters, including handy Higgidy crafts, puzzles, colouring sheets and trivia to help keep kids and parents entertained.
Commenting on the arrangement, Kat Lee, CEO of the Family Holiday Association said:
“We are immensely grateful to the generosity of Higgidy and their partners for including our families on their Higgidy Helping Hand project.
“We know that so many families have had an especially tough year and it has been heart-breaking to have been unable to offer them a break. Whilst we rebuild and prepare for 2021, we’re sure that these Higgidy goodie bags will give families a welcome boost during this difficult time.”
Amy Bellchambers, Brand Manager at Higgidy, added:
“The last few months have been challenging for all of us, but it’s been particularly difficult for some more than others. We therefore wanted to reach out to communities and initiatives like the Family Holiday Association to help bring a touch of joy when it’s needed most – sharing Higgidy treats and gifts from our good friends at other brands.
“Through the Higgidy Helping Hand project we’ve donated over 30,000 meals and it’s been brilliant to get the whole team on board and help make a real difference. We’ve worked with the Family Holiday Association for several years and it’s fantastic to be able to support families this summer when many breaks have had to be cancelled. We hope everyone enjoys their picnic packages!”
