Kids Pass adopts a caravan as part of new partnership!
Kids Pass have chosen the Family Holiday Association as their official charity partner and have got involved with our ‘Adopt a Caravan’ initiative, pledging to cover the costs of running one of the charity’s caravans for a year.
The charity team were delighted to visit Kids Pass this week to present an official Caravan Adoption pack filled with heart-warming stories about families who have benefited from a break. Throughout the year, the staff at Kids Pass will receive monthly communications keeping the team up to date with the life of the caravan.
The caravan, located at Presthaven Beach Resort in Prestatyn, North Wales and will host up to 45 families on a 3-4 night break this year giving many families the chance to go away together for what is often the first time.
The Family Holiday Association owns a number of caravans, located at holiday parks around the British coast. They play a crucial role in giving struggling families a chance to spend precious time together, especially during the peak school-holiday period. It costs approximately £10,000 annually to keep each caravan in tip-top condition, a fee that covers everything from ground rent, fuel bills, cleaning, furnishing and repairs.
Kids Pass offers families discounted tickets to cinemas, holidays, theme parks, restaurants and more through its discount pass.
Dave Clayton, Executive Chairman at Kids Pass, said:
“The partnership with the Family Holiday Association felt like a natural fit, as working with families is at the forefront of what we both do. We all know how much we value getting to spend time away from home as a family, yet there are so many who miss out on this opportunity. It is fantastic to know that by adopting a caravan at Prestatyn, we are giving struggling families the chance to experience new activities together, have a break from the issues they are facing at home and the chance to create memories that they will hold with them forever.”
The charity are very much looking forward to developing the relationship with Kids Pass and working together on some exciting projects.
The ‘Adopt a caravan’ initiative is part of the charity’s TOGETHER campaign, which aims to help deliver their aim of doubling the number of families they help every year by the end of 2020.
