New caravan opened at Ayr holiday park
Canvas Holidays cut ribbon on £35,000 four bedroom caravan.
The Family Holiday Association has opened its first caravan in Scotland. The new 4-bedroom caravan is sited at the beautiful Craig Tara holiday park just outside Ayr on the west coast of Scotland.
The caravan was official opened by the Canvas Holidays managing director Simon Allan and his comercial manager Isabell Sinclair on Friday 22 February. Canvas Holidays customers and staff raised the £35,000 to purchase the caravan through a donation of £1 added to the cost of a holiday booking made at the company and through fundraising organised by members of staff.
John McDonald, Family Holiday Association Director said “I can’t express our gratitude enough for the wonderful support the charity has recieved from Canvas Holidays customers and staff. This caravan will help provide hundreds of families with a break in coming years.”
It is expected that the first families will start using the new caravan fro the 15th of March. And about 30 families in total will be able to use the caravan this year. The caravan has four bedrooms and, with a convertible sofa, can easily sleep 10 people. We encourage families to take an appropriate relative or friend with them on holiday to provide extra support where room is available.
The charity has twelve caravans around the British coast. All the caravans as sited in well-established holiday parks with easy transport links.
