Long term partnerships
For more than 40 years, corporate partnerships have played a crucial role in the development and growth of the Family Holiday Association. And there is a natural synergy with those within the travel industry.
Some of our existing corporate partners raise funds for us via their staff or customers. Some help raise awareness of our charity. Others offer free or reduced-price services for our families.
Becoming a Family Holiday Association partner is a great way to show your staff, clients and customers that your organisation is committed to offering vital help to families in need from all backgrounds, and in all parts of the UK.
Spotlight on TUI Care Foundation
Since 1989, TUI has been our most longstanding supporter. This relationship now continues with the TUI Care Foundation who currently have a five year agreement with the charity, designed to provide over 7,000 struggling families with a vital day out or short-break holiday. The partnership is part of the TUI Care Foundation’s Junior Academy banner, which focuses on empowering young people in the UK and overseas.
Over the years, TUI have supported the charity in a variety of different ways including bungee jumps and skydives, sponsored bike rides and London Marathon’s, in-flight coin collections and bake-offs, charity fun days and raffles, and so many more.
The 25 year partnership was celebrated in July 2014 with celebration events and activities across the business.
When the charity celebrated its own 40th Anniversary between May 2015 and May 2016, TUI embarked on the ‘A Million Smiles’ campaign, raising £1million over the next two years through a flurry of fundraising activity. From entrepreneurial ideas in Head Office, to creative baking in retail shops, physical challenges at Everest Base Camp and bravery in a skydive at 13,000 feet!
Our long-standing relationship has raised more than £3.75m over the last 28 years, funding 25,000 day trips and short-breaks and touching the lives of around 60,000 children and their families.
The five year agreement with the TUI Care Foundation will build on this legacy and ensure thousands more families get a well-deserved break.
Helen Caron, Member of the Board of Trustees of TUI Care Foundation, commented:
“At TUI we have supported the Family Holiday Association for many years and we are delighted that the partnership will now continue through the TUI Care Foundation. We know the positive impact breaks have on people’s wellbeing, and to be able to help those in desperate need who might otherwise miss out is as rewarding as it is worthwhile.”
